The page explains how to attach your holder, secure your kendama, carry it with you, and use it in different ways.
We’ve also included care tips for genuine leather, including what to do if your holder gets wet or dirty, and how to enjoy the natural character of the leather as it ages.
Whether you’ve just received your holder or have been using one for a while, we hope this guide helps you enjoy your kendama and your leather holder even more.

Online Shop Update — Making Your Shopping Experience Better
Since opening our online shop, we have been continuing to improve the shopping experience at Curly Tail Artisans.
We have recently updated and improved several parts of our online shop, including:
- Customer account registration and login
- Shipping and Returns information
- Privacy Policy
- Contact form and enquiry options
- Information about cancellations and the right of withdrawal
We have also reviewed the checkout and payment process to make sure everything is clear and easy to use.
Our online shop is still growing, and we will continue to make improvements as we learn from our customers and our day-to-day experience.

Curly Tail Artisans Online Shop Is Now Open!
We are happy to announce that the Curly Tail Artisans online shop is now officially open!
At the moment, we accept orders and ship within the Netherlands only. Payment is available by credit card and iDEAL.
Our first shipments will be sent on Thursday, September 3, 2026. Until then, we hope you’ll take your time exploring the shop and finding your favourites.
We are also offering free shipping on orders over €120.
The shop will continue to grow step by step. We plan to add and improve our pages, products and services, and gradually expand our shipping destinations in the future.
As this is our first experience running an online shop, we are sure there will be things we learn along the way. We will do our best to make the shop a welcoming and enjoyable place for everyone who shares an interest in kendama, Japanese craftsmanship, handmade creations and the things we love to share.

Joining Heroes Dutch Comic Con 2026
Curly Tail Artisans will be joining Heroes Dutch Comic Con on June 20–21, 2026.
You can find us at the Japan Holland Link booth, where we will be introducing a selection of Japanese cultural items and activities, including kendama from MUGEN MUSOU, handmade leather kendama holders by Knotaworks, original character acrylic keychains by Kanoe, and other unique Japanese toys and creations.
We look forward to sharing a little piece of Japan with visitors and helping them discover the fun and creativity of Japanese culture.

Event Participation (May 25)
We’re happy to share that Kuma Curlytail will be present at the Japan & Korean Food Festival on May 25.
This time, we are joining as part of the Japan Holland Link booth, a group dedicated to sharing Japanese culture. We are grateful to Japan Holland Link for this opportunity.
Kuma Curlytail will be there to introduce kendama, and visitors are welcome to try it in a relaxed and friendly setting.
Please note that this is not an official store opening, but a small cultural participation.

Kuma is Now Certified to judge All Levels of Kendama Kentei Test
Kuma has passed the Expert 3rd Class of the Kendama Kentei test and is now officially certified to judge all levels as Kendama instructor (Kendama Sensei).
