The Rhythm Series

Rhythm is an original Knotaworks kendama holder series created using leather with embossed patterns and textures.

Unlike the Harmony series, which focuses on combining different colours and types of leather, and the Solo series, which celebrates the natural ageing of a single vegetable-tanned leather, Rhythm explores the character and texture created through leather finishing techniques.

Basket-Weave

This version features a beautiful basket-weave pattern embossed into the leather.

The leather is slightly thinner and softer than the leather used for our other kendama holders, giving it a flexible feel from the very beginning.

If you prefer a leather holder that feels soft and comfortable right away rather than becoming softer gradually through use, Rhythm is an excellent choice.

Its light, understated colour also makes it especially easy to pair with kendama in bright or beautiful colours.

Completely Handmade by Knotaworks

Every Rhythm kendama holder is completely handmade by Kei of Knotaworks.

From selecting the leather and developing the original design to cutting, assembling, crafting and finishing, every step is carried out by Kei.

Because natural leather is used, no two pieces are exactly alike. Natural variations in colour, texture and surface character are part of the individuality of each piece.

Subtle Changes Over Time

The embossed leather used for Rhythm does not develop as dramatic a patina as natural vegetable-tanned leather.

Nevertheless, the colour will gradually change through everyday use, becoming deeper and more understated over time.

We invite you to enjoy this subtle transformation and the character that develops as you use your holder.

Easy to Attach and Remove

Rhythm is designed to be easy to attach and remove from your kendama.

The leather strap can be opened by releasing the snap button, allowing you to insert your kendama and fasten the holder again.

Because this leather is softer and more flexible, smaller kendama may be slightly more likely to come loose compared with our other kendama holders. Please keep this difference in mind when choosing your holder.

Long-Term Use

An S-shaped carabiner is used to attach the holder, and the hook can be replaced if needed. This allows you to continue using the holder for a long time.

As with all Knotaworks leather products, the holder is designed to be enjoyed as it develops its own character through use.

Limited Availability

The leather used for Knotaworks products depends on the availability of suitable materials.

For this reason, all Knotaworks leather products listed in our shop are limited to available stock. Once a particular piece or colour combination sells out, it is highly likely that it will be discontinued and may not be reproduced.

Each Rhythm holder is a small-batch, handmade piece with its own texture, colour and character.
