Paper Balloons

The paper balloons arrive folded flat.

Gently unfold a balloon and blow firmly through the opening to inflate it. Once inflated, gently tap it with the palm of your hand. The impact helps air move into the balloon, allowing it to stay inflated rather than quickly deflating.

Paper balloons are delicate, so please handle them with care. They can tear easily if pulled with force or exposed to water.

Balancing Tops (Koma)

These traditional Japanese spinning tops have a special trick: when spun skillfully, they can turn upside down and continue spinning on their pointed end.

In Japan, this type of spinning top is called a sakadachi-goma, meaning a “handstand spinning top.”

Learning to make the top turn upside down takes a little practice, making it a fun challenge for both children and adults.

Kaleidoscope

Point the kaleidoscope towards a bright area and look through the viewing hole.

Gently rotate the kaleidoscope from side to side and watch as the beautiful patterns inside change randomly. Every turn creates a different combination of shapes and colours.
