The MUGEN MUSOU〖LEAD〗Charcoal Gray is a performance-focused kendama designed for players who enjoy controlled rotation, responsive play, and advanced techniques.

The LEAD series was developed around the concept of “Lead the next generation of kendama,” bringing together technology, design, and craftsmanship to create a kendama that evolves alongside the player.

The Charcoal Gray features a shallow circular hole in the center cup, positioning the balance point closer to the center cup. This design provides stable response and acoustics during tap tricks.

With an overall ken length of 166 mm, the Charcoal Gray is the longest model in the LEAD series. The additional length provides increased leverage and momentum, making it easier to control timing during windmills and flips. The wider arch of the sarado also provides comfortable finger contact, particularly for players with larger fingers.

The contact surfaces between the tama and sarado are precisely adjusted in 0.1 mm increments, producing a rich and pleasant low-frequency tone. The design provides stable acoustics and consistent response during tap tricks.

The Charcoal Gray is particularly well suited to windmills, flips, juggling, and balance tricks.

The LEAD series also features a screw-lock mechanism designed to reduce the risk of the ken and sarado separating during play. The system allows adjustment of the weight balance and fine adjustment of the ken tip length, while parts can be interchanged among LEAD models.

The updated LEAD specifications include a 24.5 mm tama hole and the Dual Angle Chamfer design around the cup edges, providing a close fit between the tama and ken while maintaining durability.
